unidentified lid... any ideas?

It does look similar, but I thought not quite Favorite... I'll get one of my Favorite skillet lids out to compare.

I don't think it's a recast, just that I'd never seen a Favorite Dutch Oven lid before. I compared side by side and found the drip rings? inside the DO lid to be more scalloped than squared off like the ones in the skillet lid. That's what through me off.
Does anyone have a Favorite DO lid to compare with mine?

Other than that it sure looks Favorite to me.

Howdy Stuart, I have a #8 Favorite DO and the cover is the same as yours, the bottom is marked with the Favorite logo,  the cover only has an incised 8 on the inside at 6 o'clock. I will try to post some  pics later.

Thanks, John... Favorite it is, then. I didn't see an 8 on the inside, but maybe mine is just less "marked" (or I'll find it when I look closer, or clean it) ;)

I just picked up a DO this weekend.
The base was unmarked except for the Favorite '8-in-diamond' while the basting lid had only a 'C' on the interior...otherwise appears to be exactly the same as the lid you have pictured with your Piqua Ware pot
