Wagner 1077b wood handle
« on: January 18, 2017, 12:59:39 PM »
I'm a ceramic tile Setter and I am fortunate enough to be able to work in a lot of old and new homes. My customer today just gave me this she said it was her mother's she had to be in her late seventies. Any idea of age or value? I can't wait to get it home and cleaned up it does have the wood handle as well I'll never get rid of it just curious. Thanks in advance

Hi Greg.  Your skillet appears to be possibly plated?

The Catalog number would indicate 1925 forward.

The Wood Handled Silverlite (plated) Wood Handled skillets are shown in a 1941 Wagner Catalog, so the dating would fall in the 1925-1941 (maybe a bit later).

Values would depend on condition of the piece.  Plated pieces generally are less value unless the condition of the plating is near perfect!

Nice 'freebie' !  The best kind! :)
