Should I buy this DO?

Can anyone tell me the value of this DO--marked Wagner Ware Sidney O 1268 on the bottom....?

I am considering it.

How bad is that rust on the interior surface, If it is just surface rust then not a big deal but if there is pitting then it affects the value more, The trivet is a plus especially if it is the correct trivet for the DO. The iron lid(not glass) is also a plus

I looked at eBay sold listings for the 1268 DO and the prices paid are all over the place.

I would be concerned by the patterning of the rust that I am seeing...

I've seen that before... in the Iron Mountain DO I picked up.... and while it will be a nice user, the pitting inside means not a 'collector' piece... :( :(

Still looking for the #8 Bottom.... Lid came out great! :)

Condition was already mentioned, let's say it's very good... OK, now tell us what's on the price tag?
If it's low $$ I'd buy it... if it's high $$ or even $$$, I'd let someone else enjoy it. It all depends on your budget and as Cheryl said, your "plans" for it...

The last few weeks I have looked over Ebay a good bit. The BIG thing I notice is the prices :o Pretty pricey! And at times it seems they try to compensate by way of high shipping :o Just my opinion ;)

  Were you looking for a quality "user" DO, if so there's a chance that one of us has a spare ;) you can put a post in the "items wanted" thread and maybe...
  I think I have a couple (I'd be glad to get one out of the garage), but shipping from Michigan might run the bill up a bit.
