Mystery Dutch Oven
« on: September 04, 2016, 08:33:15 AM »
Hi everyone!

I picked up this unmarked Dutch oven recently and am looking to see if anyone has any info or background about it.  What struck me about it is that it has, for lack of better description, an "art deco" look to it.  The lid handle and the side casting have design elements that I've never seen before on a DO.  Aside from the handle design elements, the general look of the handle makes me think of a Wagner Ware style, as well as the drip line castings underneath the lid.

There are no direct maker marks but both the lid and body have a S-9 marking.

I've attached some pictures - if anyone can provide a little more info about it I'd sincerely appreciate it!

I'm not sure, but I like it!
Experience hath shewn, that even under the best forms of government those entrusted with power have, in time, and by slow operations, perverted it into tyranny.
