What did I buy?

Just recently bought this guy, I've never seen anything like it and don't know what it is. How would you use this anyways?  Put hot coals in the oven then use the grill/griddle?  Is it a combo cooker?  Who made it?

Looks Asian to me, My guess is that the top can be used as a lid for the DO or it can be used alone as a griddle with either the flat or ribbed side up
