That looks slightly like a Old Lodge bail attachment. Now I'm not saying the thing is Lodge, but that attachment point looks similar to something Lodge did. Now if I can find that old Lodge thread and check??

It sure does Dwayne, the bail attachment looks like the Lodge.  But on the lid the difference between this one and the same size Lodge DO's I see more closely matches the large Lodge DO from that era.

The lid is different than the old 7 Lodge DO as it has a different handle, and the Lodge has an insert part where this one does not.

Its neat that this one and the Lodge has the two lines at 9 and 3 oclock. and the looks like an old Lodge, but the inside of the lid is one I have never seen. Now I am NOT saying this is a Lodge either, but its a darn nice dutch oven.  Here is my old Lodge #7 DO and a #8 and #9 for comparison.

Actually the lid handle more closely resembles the big brothers to the DO of mine.

# The no 9

I noticed the bail ears, are exactly like the Lodge 7 DO, even to the angle they are cut. So it would be great to know for sure. I wonder if there is a ghost on the bottom of the oven?
