Cast Iron mention in cooking magazine

I was at the dermatologist last Friday paging through a cooking magazine in the waiting room.  A box on a page of, I think, Bon Appetit, showed a chef and stated that he cooks "just about everything" in cast iron.

Funny, it looks like he may not be holding cast iron in the picture.  The write-up recommends a 9-inch skillet from Borough Furnace.  $289.  ::)

hmmm, brazing pan and small skillet, plus bottle opener.  Look at the prices!!  http://boroughfurnace.com/about/

OMG, they recommend Flax seed oil.  They are going to create a mess with that recommendation!!  Not a very savvy company for cast iron cookware.
