Cast Iron Pot
« on: August 25, 2014, 10:08:49 AM »
I found this cover pot in a yard sale this weekend for $20, researching it on another site based on the size of the hammering it looks to be either a Wagner or CHF both of which had larger hammer marks.

Can someone ID it for me?

Sorry, it's neither CHF nor Wagner.  Most likely Asian made.

HUUCI - Hammered Unknown Ugly Cast Iron. Very heavy, inside of the lid looks like a child made the pattern with modeling clay. Two reliable datings to 1940 or earlier. Every one I see on E-bay, I ask for provenance, nobody knows.
