Your welcome, Mark..I'm sure that's true but yours is certainly impressive. What is that rectangular pan in the middle of the wall by the door? Looks like a bread pan with a handle? Haven't seen one of those before..but now I want one!

Tim, my 15" Lodge weighs about 13 lbs..and then there are the DO's too.. :-/

The wife was just telling me this weekend that I had to get busy on the CI rack. Now this thread ...

Guess I better get busy on the CI rack.   ;)

By the way, the Gridwall is mounted directly onto the drywall with standard plastic inserts.   I find stud detectors to be erratic at best.  I did invest in stainless screws, not zinc. I used a lot of brackets, you can see them, and each had 4 mounting holes, and I did not skip any.

I may go back and paint some brackets wall color.
Best Regards,
Neal

I am working on finishing my display now, I will share photos when I'm done.  Been putting it off for years and finally getting around to it.

I have changed the wall display a couple of times now and I didn't see the picture that you are referring to? (link removed)

The wall is always a work in progress.

I think I know which one you are asking about. Is it the one that looks like a bread pan with a handle in the center? If so, it is a Griswold loaf pan. (page 129 of the BB)

The other ones next to the door are Wagner cake pans. I have two, but there are really three of these. (page 264 of the BB)

I would have just posted you a picture but I am having camera problems, again. >:(

I just wanted you to know that I wasn't ignoring you on this. :)

Here's the pic..hope it's ok to post it here. Yeah it must be the Griswold loaf pan..looks like it has the large logo but hard to tell for sure. I really like that pan..are they hard to come by?
And a pic of the two big oval roasters, and a whole lot more, that I referred to earlier.. awesome!.  ;)

Mark, yes it is a Griswold loaf pan and it does have the large block logo. These do show up from time to time.

They also made a cover for these. Some of the other members here have these, but I don't.

I don't even make bread, but if I had one of those I'd have to start, lol. I'm going to be keeping an eye out for one...thanks Mark.

Have four of these cast iron brackets coming in the mail, 'cept I got them in black.  Scrapping my earlier sketch for a new idea. Wife gave up more wall space for me to use...she's starting to see the light.[smiley=bananax.gif] I might run a black iron pipe through the holes and hang skillets from there, or mount them on a board and hang them from the board...not sure yet.
Now I just have to find the right boards...stay tuned. Still would like to see others though...  :)

I have my slotted, powder coated 'L' angle still waiting to be mounted on the walls in the kitchen.

Every time I've assembled the manpower to do the job, it has fallen thru... :(

Hopefully this summer!

So you'll hang the skillets with some S hooks from those?

Cool. If I were closer I'd help you get those up.  8-)

That is the plan.  I will be able to cut the L angle to custom lengths.  The problem is, finding the necessary studs in my 'stupid' house!  ::)

Finally finished my user display project..I think it came out nice. The shelf and plates behind the CI brackets are from a board a friend gave me from a black walnut tree he had cut.  :)

Mark, excellent job, it looks great.  You should be proud.  Now, as far as SWMBO, maybe you could secretly "extend the shelves with new, longer boards ;)

looks nice.   do you need a step ladder to reach the DOs on the shelf?  the way that you mounted those brackets onto the shaped boards really makes it unique!  good job! ;)

Thanks Marge and Jim. No, I can reach them ok.
Jim, I can already envision those boards creeping slowly in both directions..around the corner..forcing the stainless set off the wall... ;) ;D
