purtain corn bread pan
« on: June 21, 2014, 11:38:45 PM »
Today I found a Puritan  1270   1513 corn bread pan in very good condition. This is the first I have ever seen. Blue book list is $100. Is this price about right.  I understand it was made by Griswold in the 1920. Why did they use the name Puritan or Merit.  Thanks. Sorry but I have no pictures.  Should I but it if I can get it for less than $100.

Puritan was a line made by both Griswold and Favorite for Sears.  Watch for a Griswold pattern number vs a Favorite size number with typical subscript letter (or maybe it would be a superscript letter).

Not sure about Merit, and books are in vehicle.
Best Regards,
Neal

IMO these wheat pans made for Sears are in the $50 - $75 range with the Merit being the highest.
