Any info about this 20" skillet?
« on: May 05, 2014, 04:50:59 PM »
Looking for info on this huge/heavy 20" pan. A friend was going to throw it away because it was just a rusty mess. I scrubbed it up and oiled it but have not been able to season it because it does not fit in my oven! The bottom kinds looks like there are cracks but that is only on the surface, there are no cracks at all. Any suggestions or info about it would be appreciated

I have one just like that Sandy. It was made by Wagner, after they bought out Griswold. It was made using a Griswold pattern, and you will see this same pan with Griswold marked right on the bottom.
This one would have been sold with a paper label, and may have said Wagner, or Griswold.

A nice Griswold one in good shape will sell for $600 on eBay. Ones like this, if it cleans up good and has no issues, will usually bring $200.
