Julie picked this up at an antique store last Friday. I just finished cleaning it today.

We are wondering if this is real and if it is worth anything? Also, does anyone have a picture with a knob? Janice

Julie, I think it is real but the photos aren't good enough to tell for sure.  The original knob was porcelain and riveted on.  With the pot being so rusty and the knob missing the value would be low.

Ouch!! That wasn't the right answer Steve. I took another picture and would trade it for the first one if I was smart enough to see how to do that. I thought I got the rust off in the electro. It looks nice to the untrained eye. See what I know? Maybe we can learn.

I think you can just modify the post that has that pix and you have the option of keeping the same pix or adding a new one.

These items don't bring that much even with the lid.  They used to sell for about $100 each, but lately I believe they are under $50, if in great shape.  You can likely find a knob to replace the one lost.  I have one of these somewhere  in the "cast iron basement".  If I can find it, I'll post a pix.  I'm so swamped lately that I don't have time to breath and can't walk well at present either.

Greg, I know you're the Doctor but maybe you need to change medicine, something like expensive whiskey and cheap women, or something along those lines, I mean the Japanese gals was good for you for awhile. The medicine seemed to be right but maybe the dosage needs to be changed. Thats my medical opinion and I am sorry but I don't take medicare or insurance but will readily accept cash or some kind of barter plan.

Greg, I give up. I have looked and tried everything to get rid of that picture. I run Macs and I am using Safari. I even tried internet explorer. I will post another picture and maybe you can get rid of the other one. Hope you feel better soon!! Janice
