Jotul,Product of Norway 16" skillet
« on: April 19, 2018, 02:46:45 PM »
A friend, knowing of my cast iron collection, showed up with this 16" "JOTUL" product of Norway stamped skillet, asking me what it was worth. This is marked NR 34. I found one EBay entry for a NR 24, and for some Jotul pizza and muffin skillets. Not much else located in other source areas.

Two part question here, what is the background ( history )info of Jotul CI products, and what a estimated value would be.

Looks like a 50-60's???" cast type production ( bottom has ringed surface ) , handle is bolted on/off multi-use function as an oven skillet?

Info appreciated

Here's a 1978 flyer showing the pans.  34 is 34 centimeters.  2.54 cm to the inch, so about 13.4 inches in diameter.  I think this is nearing the end of cookware distribution in the US.
