I'm sure there is a way to have more than one pic per post ... I just haven't found it yet.  :-/

Dave, Looks like you have a marriage -- the cover is an Iron Mountain Chicken Pan cover (made by Griswold) and the oven looks to have the same markings as Birmingham Stove and Range.

Maybe it's just the picture, but the bail handle looks to be some type of heavy wrapped wire.  The ovens were sold with a tempered steel handle I believe.

I think it's just the picture. It's a solid steel bail. It's needs some cleaning. After reading that you think it's a marriage I checked to see how tight the lid fits on top and it's slightly smaller than the bottom .... so I believe you're right. Well ... I wonder if it will still make a good campground stew or if I need to go look for a matching bottom. *sigh*  :-/

I'm sure glad I found this site to learn so much!! I have 1/2 a GRISWOLD ... woot woot.

Hi Dave. When you start or reply to a thread, below the dialogue box and to the left of the image search function is 'Attachments' with a +.
Press this for up to 3 images per post.
Cheers.

There are two factors:

1.  File Size

2.  Dimension Size.

First step, resize the dimensions to 800x600, or 640 x 480

Then see what the file size is  ( 250 kb or less is the desired size )

It all depends on what picture quality the camera you are using is set to originally.  Mine is pretty high quality settings, so the file size is very large to start with..... so I resize mine to 640 x 480 right from the start.

Once you discover the best 'size' for your camera, you will be set.

Start with 800 x 600 and see what the 'file size' is in kb....
