I am familiar with the different handles on the Griswold Skillets. The teardrop on the older ones, the three different types on the small logo ones (Early, Late, Grooved).
I am however totally unfamiliar with different type handles on otherwise identical large logo skillets.
Just got ahold of a second #8 large logo Griswold for $12.00 yesterday, and when I got it home I noticed that the bottoms on the handles did not match. The top of the handles look the same. The only other difference between the two are the mold ID. The one on the left has that pattern number 704 and a mold ID of "W".
The one on the right has a pattern number of 704 and no mold ID.
Steve Stephens made mention of a rarely seen 4th handle style in a post from 9 years ago. He stated that in 30 years he had only seen one. Could this be another?
