I picked this up today. It has a 0 and 1V on the bottom, hammered finish. I think it is Korean or Chinese, but am not for sure.

Mike, I think most believe it was made by Lodge.  I have several of them and they have a varity of markings, Roman numerals,  a series of dots (2-7 dots), maybe others.   They also come in different sizes 3in dia. up.  Mike

You may be right. Looking closer at the underside of the handel there appears to be a single dot hard to tell with all of the hammering marks. Next question, what use is a skillet this size, 3.25 " Dia., besides an ash tray or spoon rest?
Thanks
Mike

Mike I didn't explain very well, the ones I have either have a Roman Numeral or a series of dots (in a straight line) not both.  I live in Lodge country and started picking them up when I found them cheap.  I was trying pick them up to make sense of the markings.  Between eBay and the ones I found it seems the various markings on these little guys are endless so gave up.  The good thing is they don't take up much space. ;)  Mike

Gee Mike, I can't come out to play right now.
I don't know the diameter of Griswold 0 skillets as mine is packed away.  Someone will come up with the answer I hope.

I to think they are Lodge. Lodge is the only one I know of that have the underside of the handle hammered. Have several that have different  markings also. Gris zero is 4-1/2" in dia, 4-3/4" lip to lip, 7" from handle to skillet wall. All measurements are outside to outside.
Gray Iron-- Old as antiquity, new as tomorrow.

Howdy!
I read this thread, just a few days ago. I hadn't seen these little skillets before, but yesterday, at a place just North of Waco, I saw one hanging on the wall. $2.50. Had to buy it! Neat little skillet, hammered on the outside edges & handle, marked OO , opposite the handle, & 4 dots in a row, below that, about 2 an a half or 3 inchs across. (I'm not at home with my camera or I would have added  a picture.) Told my wife, Carolyn, we needed 2 of these so she could wear them as ear rings. She didn't go for that! HA!
