no12 P oval roaster?
« on: October 10, 2006, 11:50:09 AM »
This measures about 12 " long 9 " wide 4 " deep. It is well defined and heavy. The bottom is marked just like the top. Does anyone know who the mfg may be, and its value.

Preston, I'm clueless but that is really a looker.  Is the cover domed at all or is it flat and recessed like those on camp ovens?  Did you buy this?  Nosey, aren't I? :D

Interesting piece Preston.  It does look like the lid is recessed or fits down inside the roaster.  How about a picture of just the lid??  If it is like a camp oven without the legs, it would be a fun roaster to use at the campfire.

I think these pots are either foreign or come from Canada.  It seem to me the ones (and round roasters) I've seen on ebay are often in Canada.  I had the oval roaster pot but without a cover.  It's a nice looking piece.  Is there a large rim on the bottom of the pot?

I've seen some that look similar to that one marked with CA.  I've always thought Canadian, but have no proof of it.  Looks to be well cast.
