ID These Pans
« on: May 01, 2016, 02:35:51 AM »
I know I posted these over a year ago, but I still haven't found any info on them. Hoping someone will be able to tell me the makers or proper names for them. I'm thinking it's a NES pan and an egg poacher. Lemme know what you guys think or if any of you have one.  Would love to get my hands on both!

Austin, the #11 N.E.S. pan with the side handle was made by a couple of people. More than likely, if you see one, it'll be Knox Bros. One of the many advantages of being a WAGS member, we have information on many, many foundries. Here is a better picture of one, from an internet search.

Wow Jim,
Finally after a year of searching!  Thank you so much for your help!  I'd love to be a dues paying member to get this info,.  Can't exactly afford it right now but maybe someday.   Any idea about the other one?

Austin, we have a member who may be able to help. I talked with them earlier...they are at work. Hopefully they can add some information. WAGS has the largest, most complete Foundry list and PDF section of any cast iron/ aluminum cookware club. Look forward to someday seeing you on the membership side. We have so very many members, well rounded in many areas. :)

Jim, thanks a bunch!  I appreciate your help and look forward to hearing from them. I'd love to eventually be a member and even go to a convention someday...not easy when you're a broke college student, but I'll get there someday. Everyone on here is great!

I don't have anything specific about the round pan other than it is most likely an egg poacher because of the raised lip and size and spacing of the cups.  Handle style looks North American..  Age, without seeing the bottom I would bet 1900-1920.

Hi Tom,
Thanks for the info. I saw this pan that looks almost identical to this one on eBay except it has heart shaped indents. It said 'coeur de fer' on the handle, was there a certain maker that made pans engraved with that?  It's French for 'cast iron' I believe. ~Austin.
