pat oct 10 1871
« on: November 03, 2015, 11:40:48 AM »
I have a round bowl ? aprox 7" across by 1" deep. Has a gate mark.
On the back it is marked PAT OCT 10 1871 USS CO. I have had this for several years and there has been several stabs at what it is.  I have tried the pat office with no luck. I don't know how to resize and post pic's.

Wonder if that could be United States Stove Co., S. Pittsburg, Tenn.? Formed about 1869. Not sure if they made hollow ware, but possible , as so many other stove companies did. Nothing else comes to mind.
