Giant Wagner Griddel
« on: December 12, 2014, 01:23:58 AM »
Just acquired this griddle.
It is Huge, measuring 21" x 31" not including the handles.
Weighs a staggering 55 pounds.
Marked WAGNER MFG CO, SIDNEY OHIO 1937 .

As can be seen it is in as found condition.  I think it will clean up well.

Can find NO info on this, so if anyone can enlighten me it would be greatly appreciated.

The Red book lists a griddle with dimensions similar to yours. The markings on it are "US 1942." It does state that some are marked with the Wagner name. Perhaps yours is one of those.
Maybe someone with a Wagner hotel-ware catalog could find additional info.

Well it definitely needs electro, Mitch..maybe you can skip the lye bath on this one.  Should fit in a barrel setup if you have one.
