Is this No 11 unmarked Griswold?
« on: April 05, 2014, 06:04:22 PM »
This looks almost exactly like the No 11 in the blue book except it's missing a few of the markings in the middle, and no markings on the back side. Oh, and the tabs are drilled at the top and bottom instead of solid.

Is this still a Griswold piece just from a later date? Or did someone make a very close copy?

Jon Haussler's book on muffin pans doesn't show a pan with these markings but nothing says all of the variations of the 11 have been found. The way it's marked with the capital N then the small case underlined o is pretty typical of how Griswold marked the "No" on their pans so I lean towards it being a Griswold. I think we discussed this pan before on the Forum but I'm not sure.

There have been pans identified as Griswold since Jon published his book so you may want to send him an e-mail along with the pictures and ask him for his thoughts.
