Can anyone tell me anything about this skillet? I see a lot of Favorite pans, but this is the only gate marked one I've ran across. Anyone?

this is different from Favorite Piqua.  THE FAVORITE was made in a prison in Columbus, Ohio.   I have a size 8 and 9.   neither have a gate mark.

you would be amazed how much information you could find on the Wags members side.  you never stop learning from these folks.

I suspect that this particular skillet is a recast of an original, as the gatemark is NOT consistent with what we have seen on these skillets.  :)

Marge,

I do have plans to become a WAGS member soon. Just need to take the bit of time to fill out the application and get it send in.

Cheryl,

I suspected something was funky about this one. "The Favorite" was way off center and the inside cooking surface is more of a bronze color than CI. It's super slick on the inside though!

Be happy to have you come on board! :)

When you do, you can check out the pics on our Foundry Pages, and you will see what I mean.  ;)
