Trivet Question
« on: September 17, 2007, 11:51:47 PM »
Does anyone know which foundry made this style trivet?  There are no markings.  Thanks.

It's very smooth and cleaned up quite nicely.  Found it at a flea market with a tag that said, "Skillet Grease Thingy - $1.50" and the rest is history.

Don't know who made it,  but I have seen them marked "drain grate"  ;D ;D

Will, I am almost certain that Sandy's piece is a do trivet and not a drain grate.  If a grate, what would those little feet do other than keep the trivet up off the bottom of the do like do trivets like to do.

No, no Steve.   I have seen them marked at antique shops as that.   I always laugh at there description.   It is a trivet.

Nice find at $1.50, Sandy!  Do you have a DO that you can use it with?     Judy
