Smithey Ironware USA made but a bit pricey
« on: April 13, 2017, 08:22:42 AM »
While in line at checkout at my local TSC I was thumbing thru one of the magazines they have (Southern Cast Iron)  and noticed this company.

http://smitheyironware.com/

Looks like they are currently making 2 skillets, a number 10 and a number 12, The number 10 sells for $160 and the number 12 sells for $200.

The article which can be read at the link below states the skillets are made(cast) in a foundry in the mid west and then finished(grinding/polishing) in Charleston SC.

Those skillets look really nice.  I might have to figure out a way around the spouse imposed "moratorium" :o

Not crazy about the flat handle, but I love the logo.
