Can anyone help with this?
« on: January 27, 2017, 11:49:24 PM »
I have a lodge Pan #8 The name lodge is printed on the bottom at the 12 o'clock point on the pan it has a B at the 6 o'clock position and on the handle is the #8 It has a fire ring.  I would sure appreciate anybody that could help me tell how old this pan is.

Welcome to the Forum, Ray.  Some WAGS members collect Lodge and they would be in a better position to advise you.  It appears to be a much older Lodge than most I have seen.

Thank you Valarie but I found the date of the pan on the internet it is a Vintage Lodge from 1910 to 1930.  Now I am trying to ascertain what the B stands for.  I am thinking it is some sort of mold designation Not sure but if anyone knows I sure would be interested in it.  I have seen these letters on Lodge pans before This one happens to be a B but I have seen P and A on other lodge pans.  Just a letter by the hilt of the handle on the bottom???? Curious to say the least.  Thanks again for your interest.

Hi Ray,
Yes I understand you have dated the skillet from information on the internet, I am still interested in seeing a close up of the underside and top side of the handle if you could post a shot of them.
Thanks

Those are nice, smooth, light cookers. Among my favorites. Nice find Ray!

I would date that 1910-1920 as per the Red Book.
