WI handles?
« on: December 23, 2016, 09:14:40 PM »
My "Wagner Ware" WI has turned handles like many of those in the red book, but the WI like mine has the wire Alaskan handles, rather than the turned handles.

Are my waffle iron handles "legit?"

If yes, are they supposed to be flattened on inside?

Are my pictures too big??  I resized them to 640x480 using Resize It.  (Thanks for that app tip, Jonathan Davis.)

Donna, many waffle irons by Wagner and Griswold were offered with either wood handles or coil handles.  These look original to me. :)  Wagner also changed the style of the wood handles over time (different size metal ferules on the wood handle, some different carved design).  Several of my Wagner Waffle Irons have flattened inside edges also.  I suspect it was a slight design flaw, and they took care of it at the factory .... :)

Thanks for the info!  I'm happy I have the right handles.   :)
