Hello, and wafflemaker question

Hi folks,

I am a new member and had a question about a Griswold #8 waffle maker that I found recently.  I have attached pictures of the top and bottom.  I can't find a wafflemaker with these same markings.  If anyone knows this model, please help me out.

Welcome to WaGS, Steve.  I am far from an expert on waffle irons, but what you have appears to be an early version of a set made with the "acorn" hinge which was patented in 1901 by Griswold.  Being that yours is marked "Pat. Apld. For" would likely place this piece a bit earlier than that.
