unmarked Griswold muffin pan?
« on: September 07, 2015, 04:28:23 AM »
I was wondering if this second unmarked muffin tin is Griswold?  It doesn't matter so much, it works just as well without a mark, but I'm curious because they look so identical.

Sorry for the crappy picture, I took this as I was packing for a move  just to document what I had packed, then decided to post it here.

It is not a Griswold as in - made in Erie, PA. But it could have been made using a re-tooled Griswold pattern after Wagner purchased the rights and moved the patterns to Ohio. Once the paper label has been removed by the user, it's tough to tell if this is a Randall era or early GHC era pan. That would mean 60's to early 70's.

Saw one for sale on EBay like the one on the left. It is being sold as a BS&R muffin pan. The MADE IN USA font looks just like the ones on my Century Series skillets.

The BSR pan has one triangular hole at each handle end, and the Made In USA is all on the bottom of one cup only.

As usual EBay sellers can't get it correct when it comes to a lot of BS&R cast iron.
