Found a nice Smart's pan today. Somewhat similar to the McClary spider. Never seen this style logo before. Excuse the mess, pulled it out of the electrolysis tank for a snap.

Hrmmm, another mystery piece. Very similar dutch oven, split handle, raised number 12 but it sits on a raised block.

That is nice... Any other markings on it besides the Findlay?

Tempted to see if the seller would make a deal with me on the one I posted. They want $130 for it, don't want to spend that much. It's heavy.

Robert,
I just found the pictures online, so I can't say if it has other marks.

And the mystery deepens, couldn't resist buying this one. Marked with a 100 on the lid. Time to fire up the electro tank and see if there's anymore markings.

Found what looks like a dutch oven lid today that's a curiousity, but didn't have time to take pics. Marked with Anthes Foundry, large X covers the bottom of it, but I can find no reference to Anthes making cookware. Supposed to be out of Toronto.

Haven't seen one like that, but there's alot of sad irons branded Smarts with removable handles in antique markets here. Typical 1, 2 and 3. Think they were sold as Mrs. Potts by Smart. I assume they would be later than the solid style.

Could you imagine having to iron clothes with sad irons?

Well, managed to make some rounds yesterday and found some more Canadian cast that's in great shape... Also managed a BSR Century No. 10 skillet with a perfect bottom, thing is a beast of a pan.

T. Eaton made by McClary (X108), looks to be a number 5.

My girlfriend has been wanting a griddle for a while, pretty much gave up hope til tonite.

Managed a twin McClary number 8 DO and a number 9 long griddle. Never knew McClary made long griddles and this one looks like it's been hardly used. .

Few and far between, but there are some good quality pieces.

I've got 2 McClary waffle irons now, bases are the same and some slight differences in casting and wood handles - same numbers tho. You'll want the base handle I assume? I'll post some more pics tonite or tomorrow when I get my other cam. Iphone is terrible.

Hi Robert

Thanks  for posting, for  a moment I thought it  resembled a gatemark  skillet I have with similar handle.  Would have been nice to tie it to a know manufacturer.   Same kind of look but different

I still have not come accross a waffle iron in the past two years of CI itis... maybe one day

Mike

Have a picture of it? I'm curious to see what you have.
