Looks good Mark. Come this summer I'm gonna have to figure out how to display some of my iron in our new to me home.

BTW, my parents had a scale exactly like the one in the corner of your shelf. For the life of me, I can't remember if I saved it or left it for the estate sale.

Thanks Claudia. That scale came from my wifes grandparents estate..it's pretty old, but still works well. The thing I liked best about using the iron pipe to hang skillets is you don't have to worry about planning the spacing with hooks..you just slide them where you want them..and easily change things if you want. Cheryls perforated angle iron is another good way for making future changes. Something to think about.  ;)

Very nice job, Mark!

I too, see longer boards in your future. At the rate you're going, I'm putting my money on that stainless rack being displaced by summer. :)

like everyone else, probably, iron is in many different rooms in the house.  this is how I display just a few pieces. the toy waffle iron gets a special place

Neil, I use gridwall too, sourced via craigslist from a local store that had closed. I have the panels lag bolted to the basement walls. If your mounts are secure enough, you might look into waterfall hooks. They give you stackability and mass storage without compromising wall square footage. Works like a trick for me!

Pictures will have to wait though, as the basement is an ugly place...

Tim,
How do you get your pieces to stick straight out like that?
JUST KIDDING [smiley=ds_imbouncvegphp.gif] [smiley=ds_imbouncvegphp.gif]
OB ;D

You have to  hold down the rotate button. Get's tiring after a few months...

This is my favorite piece; it gets the wall and a nice oak contour!! The rest of the collection is on the basement floor.
Cheers.

Thanks Mark; I've had it for about 15 years when they were selling for 750$, but at the time, I paid very little for it.

Here's some of the collection, this is the only room left to display it; makes for a good conversation subject.
Cheers

Last one I promise!!
The lamb on the right has a superb finish, very smooth, but no markings at all.

Dayum!...you've got a lot of nice stuff Herman. Is it always there, or did you spread it out just for the pics. Wish my house looked like that, but the old lady (swmbo) would never go for it. You must be single, eh?  ;D ;)

Very nice, Herman, not just the Erie spider, but the whole collection.  I must say if my wife went away for a few months, my house might look just like yours ;D

Thanks guys;
Actually my wife is also a collector, which helps.
I've had the collection on the floor for 3.5 years now. I had it spread out to show it to a prospect buyer of the whole collection, but I'm still waiting for him. Being a company CEO, he's rather busy, but I've learned that patience is a virtue... ;
Besides, I always get the "WOW" factor whenever visitors come in; I'm trying to promote the hobby...LOL
