Looks yummy for your tummy Mike.  I used to bake a lot more but would eat what I baked in no time at all.  Too much sugar and calories.  It's easier to just not bake much any more but I'm glad to see what you can do.

You got that right Mike. I don't have two many pieces I would not cook in, and thats probably only because I would not want to clean them up, like some waffle iron or something like that.

I knew I shouldn't have read this thread right before lunch!

I have a batch of kugelhopf rising in a "warm, draft-free place" at this very moment.

Maria- post the pics!  I've looked at the link and receipes, I think that will be my next project.  I always have a hard time with breads so don't  try much.  Got the pan so gotta use for more than a boxed cake mix. :) :) Mike

If it turns out, I will. I'm so mad.  >:( My yeast has died. This is a rich dough with lots of eggs and dried cherries and I'm NOT throwing it out. I'm just going to see what happens if I let it sit for hours and hours. (The first rising lasted over night!  :o )

I don't have a CI pan, I'm using my vintage Nordic Ware cast aluminum Bundt pan.

Here is my Kugelhopf. It probably would have risen higher with better yeast, but it's still tasty, and boy did the house smell good while it was baking. :)

Both cakes look very good!  I'm getting hungry!  I don't have a bundt cake pan, but I've been using a new Lodge griddle for pancakes.  Sometimes the pancakes turn out ok,  other times they stick to the pan.  I've been careful to oil before each pancake, with canola oil.  I always reseason the pan after use.  Still learning.  Also, the pancakes look a little burnt (they still taste good).  Anyhow, I'm no Martha Stewart in the cooking department regardless of what kind of cookware I'm using.  :)

Judy, if they look a little burnt, you probably have your pan just a little too hot. Heat it up good before the first pancake. Flick a few drops of water onto the griddle surface with your fingertips.  If they "skip" around before they evaporate then it's hot enough; if they just evaporate with no skipping, it's too hot, and if they just sit there and sizzle, it's not hot enough.

With all that oil you're using, they should end up with just a nice crispy brown crust, no burning, if you get the temp right. I love pancakes!!
