This one is a little smaller, The Patd. May 5 1903. 103 years old today. Not all the blades are there and I think we might have the wrong bolts on the screw?

Clark,
I have the # 11 and I thought it was a small regular grinder when I bought it last fall, but it could be a toy for all I know. CB seems to know a lot about grinders and cooking, what say you CB? Mine had 5 blades with it and it is either tin or galvanized. Is the # 12 smaller than the 11? Does anyone know what the round hole on the top side of the grinder mouth would be for? Obviously I have a lot more questions than answers
Harry

Harry the #12 body is about 1" taller and the top feed hole is more round than oval. On one I have a hex nut on the screw, the outher has a wing nut. Did a Google on the name Rollman Food Chopper. Looks like thay did not make any cast iron cookware. ( food chopper and cherry pitters) do not have that many blades. My #12 has patd date on that flip flop top. Will not be able to come back on WAGS for a week or two, be on vacation in Fla. thanks clark

Well, I don't know what that thing is. Its interesting, but I do not believe it to be a grinder at all. At least not any kind of grinder that I have ever seen. If you used it grind meat in it, the blood would run through the hinge on the bottom and make an awful mess.

It might be something like to shread some kind of fruit or something, but it just don't look strong enough to grind meat, cooked meat maybe, but not raw meat. Also, if it was a toy, why would it have all the blades? More questions.
