Mi-Pet by Western Foundry Co. pan, #3 size +/-

I picked up a cute little frying pan of the same size as a Griz or Wagner or Favorite #3, marked as such in double rings:

"Mi-Pet"
KEEPS FOOD TASTY
THE WESTERN FOUNDRY CO. CHICAGO

Did I do good? - It has some old pits in the inside but sits nice and level and is seasoned at present. I'll probably try to turn it around in the fall.

(Pic attached - I enhanced the markings with a dusting of white flour)

Maria, those Mi-Pets are nice pans, not too rare nor too valuable.  All cleaned up you've got a $10-25 piece I'd say.  "Sits flat" or "sits nice a level" are words that drive me crazy as they don't tell a thing.  Of course most pans with heat rims will sit level even if they are mildly warped.  What we want to know is if the pan has any warps, twists, or a crown or bow to the bottom or cooking surface.  "Sits flat" is so generic and I wish those words would go away.  Now you can look for more Mik-Pet pieces of which there are not a huge number.  Skillets in sizes 5 and 8 and maybe a larger one; a skillet griddle, a No.4 oval roaster, dutch oven and probalby a short handful more.  All very nicely cast pieces.
