GRISWOLD NO 9 TITE-TOP BASTER
« on: July 16, 2017, 04:06:23 PM »
Hi! I recently uncovered an old Griswold Dutch oven in my shop and just finished restoring & seasoning it. I've been trying to research the year and worth but have thus far come up empty handed. I've become quit fascinated by cast iron in the process of restoring & researching this piece. I have no intention of selling it but would love to know the worth and more specifically what year it was made.

Top of lid: GRISWOLD NO 9 TITE-TOP BASTER

Inside of lid: "PATENT APPLIED FOR", GRISWOLD (Inside of a cross & slanted), ERIE, PA USA (Not slanted), A 2552.

Bottom of pan: THE GRISWOLD MFG COMPANY, CAST 9 IRON, TITE-TOP BASTER, GRISWOLD (Inside a cross inside a circle), ERIE, PA USA, 834 H.

Appreciate any info. Looking forward to many years of use and passing it on to my kids some day
