I don't know who made it, Scott, but it looks like a great piece. I see why you had to have it.

Hello Jim and Scott. Yes that is a nice piece. I can see why you would want it too. I have one of them and for some reason something tells me its got New York connected with it. I'm pretty sure I have one of them anyways. But its a nice piece. How much did you give for it Scott? Not to be nosy, ok, to be nosy.  :-/ ;D

Yeh, I hate this part. No matter what you pay someone somewhere found one cheaper lol.

Anyway, he wanted $65, I wanted $50, we ended at $55. In person, no shipping. The inside of the irons look pretty clean and the little areas of rust outside are very fine. Kind of like rub with your thumb and a lot of it comes off.

For me it was a good day, I also got a 12" single spout skillet for $12 from another place. Kinda neat, has 3 little 1/8" feet on it and a sort of fancy handle.

Could be PHILAD'A related? I can't find anything close except for this one photo from ebay. It's similar in a few ways.

Of course this ebay one is cracked and they want a fortune.

Hello Scott. It is easily worth what you paid for it. If you get tired of looking at it let me know and I would be interested in it. And I want to see you make money on it so you can buy more iron.  :)

You do realize I've been telling my wife I'll sell and she has been reminding me to sell stuff for a long time now. Maybe because I keep buying stuff saying look what this is worth, and I got it for only this.

Some day, I'll start to part I guess.

For now, this thing is really being stubborn. Trying to get the base clean, wow, this is carbon caked on more than normal.
