Griddle.

Well. It doesn't need an explanation. If anyone doesn't know what is is, they don't need to know.

It was cast Nov. 14, 1957. The last piece to leave the Griswold foundry. One of a kind. A Mr. Jon Youngston was the first owner. His initials are on the griddle. I am owner number 4.  I bought it from Mr. Joe Noto. And yes,  I am the owner.

I knew when I asked this question that there was no close answer. So, let me ask it a different way. First, let me say that I wish a WAGS member would get it. So now my question is: If it went on ebay, what do you think it might bring, and if you owned it what would be your reserve?

This is a letter of provenance from Mr. Jon Youngston's son. to Mr. Chuck Wafford. Dated May 1977. Now you know the second owner.

Thanks, an interesting way of establishing a value. But, I would not sell it for that.

Thanks, an interesting way of establishing a value. But, I would not sell it for that. I would consider $15,000. Allow me to say that I understand the rules of WAGS, this was not put on the "for sale" site because I don't know if I want to sell it. I enjoy looking at it. I am just testing the water. Never test the depth of the water with both feet.

I could see it going that high and higher on Ebay C.B. and 15,000 should be your reserve if that's the least you would consider.
