What should I pay for a #8 Indian in what appears to be very good condition?

I would say around a hundred dollars. As long as it is in real good shaple. Everything about the value of an Indian is the Indian itself for the most part. So if its weak and well worn and does not have crisp sharp oulines, I'd walk away from it.

Thanks Perry. They're asking $90. I've never actually seen one in person; disappointing casting compared to an Erie or some of my gate marked stuff. The logo is good, the usual cooking crud. I'll try to get the price down. I would feel better buying one I can hold in my hands.

Why on earth did I buy this piece of crap? $70 just because I'd never seen one, except on the net? Cleaned it up, seasoned & used last night for French fries. Too heavy & although the cooking surface is good, it will never match my Erie's. Guess I've got my first "wall hanger". Sue

Well, they're fetching more than that on ebay, if the Indian is good. Just a thought... ;)
