No. 402 2 burner stove
« on: June 11, 2014, 08:38:13 PM »
Hi, I just bought a number 402  Griswold 2 burner stove. It needs cleaning and rust removal but is complete. Just wondering about the value. I think I did OK but appreciate the opinions of our members.

Wes that's a cool looking hotplate. I've never seen one like it.  Any chance of getting larger detailed pics please? Hotplates on ebay are doing well especially uncommon ones such as this. I can see this one bringing one hundred dollars plus.

Hello Wes. Yes that is a nice looking stove/hotplate.  Ed here is a stove/hotplate feller. And so when you get him to bark it's for something good. Now Wes get busy and get this piece cleaned up and take some more pictures for us. And if I have to stand on my head to see the pics, don't worry about it Wes,  that helps keep me limber.

Wes, you sure are making me earn my paycheck! <not>  ;D

I flipped them pictures, and combined them, cause the upside down thing was making me dizzy!  :D

Now if you have larger, more detailed pictures,,,, email them to Ed Perry, me and I will get them posted for you...

Cause seeing Perry standing on his head... well that wouldn't be pretty < I fear>... ::) ::)

Thanks for the photo fixin Cheryl. :)

I don't know, but I don't think I have ever seen knobs like that before on one of these. They look like bakelite.  :-/

Yes, Cheryl, thank you very much for your time flipping pictures for me. Perry, they seem to be wooden handles. Not 100% sure just yet. More pics coming, just summertime busy right now!

I like it. Nice find Wes! Never seen that style burner, valves, nameplate/badge, and they are not in any of my catalogs or pdfs. Do the burners have adjustable air mixers where the valve connects to the burner? I can't see them in the pics. Thanks to all involved for the pics.  :)

Yes, the stove has adjustable air mixers. Still not restored, been a busy summer!
