Hello Melody, and welcome to WAGS!
Do you have any pictures that you can provide?
This Wheat Stick Pan has potentially high value, and Condition and markings are critical in assessment!

Wow... okay... IF this cleans up well (I'd make sure a professional restores this one, for sure), well this pan has a rarity factor of 10. The yellow book states " The No 2800 Wheat Stick Pan is the rarest of the Griswold pans that are fully marked and is quite difficult to find".
Book value: (are you sitting down?)
$2500 - $3000.

Us Collector types don't use the word RARE very often, but... I'd use it to describe this pan.

What about the rest of you WAGSTERS.  Please weigh in when you have finished drooling over the pictures, please.... ;D ;D

Its a very nice collectible desirable piece. However like a lot of pieces of cast iron these are not bringing what they used to bring.

OMG .....I don't even want to tell what I paid for it. You would have to be sitting down lol.
It is for sale! I wonder where I go for that. I have no desire to keep it.

Perry, is correct that the muffin pan market has been down from book values in recent years, so you may need to adjust pricing downward for sure.  Perry, any estimate on current value?  Randy E? , others?

Hopefully some one else will stop by with an opinion on value.

Back in the day ie before ebay these pans could go for $2500 but those days are long gone. Back then you just never saw them for sale. Current value is more like $1000, maybe a bit more depending on the day and the buyers. I had one in a collectors auction that brought a high bid of $800 but I saw two of them sell at auction for $1200 ea. back four or five years ago. Best place to get it seen is ebay but it should be cleaned up first. Ebay can be fickle on any given day so put a reserve on it so you don't end up giving it away. All this is my opinion of course.

I was going to say you will probably sell this cleaned up in the $800-1200 range.  Pans are hot right now,  but these are down.  Why????   Give it a few months,  things change.

I feel her pain. I found one of these a couple months back and will probably need up hanging onto it. While not rare, it is very uncommon and has a high book value. But unfortunately not very sought after.

This is a pan that the book vlaue has always been way high IMO. Maybe 20% or so of book has been what I have seen  and even then they can be a tough sell. The variation 1 and 2 pn 959 is a lot rarer and pulls from the attrraction of this pan IMO.

The 5th Edition BB shows a value of $1500-2000 and I doubt one would bring that today, but you never know.
