if it reads  $85, I would collect it.  but, I am not sure if that tag reads $85, or $485. if $485, I would have to walk away. (even though I am partial to the toy items.)  are you asking if it is authentic?

It appeared authentic to me.  Counter-opinions, anyone?

BTW, that's a 4, not a $.

Thanks,
Best Regards,
Neal

:)These are quite common.  I continue watching them.  I won't pay much above $40.  Three years ago, $25-$35 on ebay all day long, in original box.

Check completed auctions on ebay. I'm not the only one that won't pay much above $50 for one of these.

If that price is $485... ridiculous! ::)

I really misstated that.  It's a $ not a 4.

My impression is that at $85, it's close to market price, but high.

I would think $50 to $60.   The iron should look new.  The base should be shinny japanned, not painted.  I think there is supposed to be an instruction sheet inside too.  If it's all really nice, it could be worth the asking price since you don't have any shipping.

It's easier to talk specifically about value on the member side.
