Yep and the 10 is a 40 - 45 skillet.  Jeff sold one for that and I have too on ebay, and the 12 I think is a 75 skillet.

Again, send him your $5 skillets and everybody is happy.  I don't see them in GA and FL for the prices you all are quoting, that was my whole point.

Blake,  I don't buy them for $5-10    I can't sell them for more than that.   Atleast around here.    And I do have an antique booth too.   I will see what I can dig up.   I probably have a spare 3,5,6,8   But I know I don't have a #10 or #12.

Well I always have my two cents to throw in and I would not miss the opportunity to do so now.

My opinion is that EBay sets the current market price for almost all antiques these days.  Sure there are some people that don't have computers and check EBay but you cannot deny its impact on the antique market.  That being said I would have to say that whatever you see a common piece selling for on EBay (the entire range including shipping) is the current market price.  EBay knows no boundaries so it does not matter what state or ever country you are in.

So I will always fall back to EBay for the common pieces and I know that Will does his homework and so do many many others on WAGS including me.

Here is the #10 Wagner that I just sold last Sunday:

If they look this good and are in perfect condition then I guess this would be on the very high end of the spectrum of prices.

In a nutshell, EBay is the best cast iron price reference book that you can get.

I say hell with it. We've all seen prices high and low. We can agree to disagree and lets go on.  :)

Boy did you say a mouthful here Jeff.  My big mouth is why this post has made it to 2 pages.  I am just like you, don't know when to hush and yes I do enjoy it.

You guys are funny.  But it seriously does keep me on my toes.  I was just poking around for a date stamp on a common skillet and I am laughing now.  Up here in the corner you just don't find $5 cast iron anything. My VERY best purchase ever was a stack of assorted stuff, mostly wobbly, for $35 or $40.  So maybe 6 spinners and 1 flat.  Something like that.  My favorite workhorse unmarked #9 Wagner was part of that, so I'm just calling it a win.

But seriously.  Keep fighting, I'll keep paying dues. :-D

The race is not always to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, but that's the way to bet.
