Little Willie toy stove
« on: July 06, 2009, 08:13:22 AM »
I went to a flea market yesterday and wanted to buy an old #12 griddle and the man insisted I buy the stove along with it. So I am now the proud owner of a toy stove missing legs and other pieces! AS you can see I have made no attempt to clean it up. I see one on ebay with a BIN of $875, but that one is complete.....

side detail: Note it does not sit flat as the legs are missing. This stove is about 14 inches long..... the soot inside says they used it.

John,

According to my collector's book it was made by Abbott and Nobel, Philadelphia.  Book value is $800-1000 (with legs, but you knew that).  The foundry name should be on the front hearth plate, if it is the later version, if not it is the earlier version.
