NEW PICS OF MARTIN CHILDS SKILLET

hi..i took some new pics of the skillet in better light..as much trouble as you all have went to to help with this skillet i thought i would give the best info possible..it still wont be like having the skillet in your hand but this is as close as i can get...thanks jimmy

Hello Jimmy, not to tell you your business, but, pictures of the bottom, of the logo, would be more indicative. The reason being because there is more detail in the logo.

one more thing  the what looks like longer marks on the legs of the M on the bottom of the skillet is just colored places where the skillet was slid across something in its life..they are surface marks and not sunk into the skillet..what i would call bruises..thanks jimmy

 Thanks for your patience with us. Everyone will have to make there own educated guess here to decide for themselves on what exactly this piece is.

 My personal opinion, and understand that is what it is, is an opinion because I really don't know for sure. I think this is a shop project. You took some really good pictures and it really dosen't do as well as holding it in your hand but IMO this is not a good casting. There are many casting marks and the logo seems light to me. THat coupled with the fact that we know of no aluminum produced Martin I suspect this is a shop project.  I'll be the first to admit I could be wrong as it is only an ED JU MA CA TED guess with a smidgin of intuition on my part.
