Bought this on Ebay for 16.15 (10.50 bid + s/h ) ...my mom had one like this so it was sentimental to me ... i think i got a good buy ????????? ::)

Thanks Perry ...i thought i got a good buy and i am sticking with things that interest me ....have an "antique alley " coming up here in my area on the 26th of april and i will be out looking for some "iron" ;D

on HWY 4 between the city of Cleburne and Grandview Texas .....Cleburne is about 25 miles S of Fort Worth ...basicly like a collection of yard sales lined up along HWY 4 ....booths are setup ...some people have sales in thier homes along the route ...its held twice a year ....i believe its on the weekend of the 26th this year ....starts friday and ends the next sunday .... i estimate the distance between Cleburne and Gradview about 15 miles ... so thats a lot of yard sales ...... :o

Pamela, have you ever heard of the US 127 Yard Sale? Its the longest in the world and goes through a FEW states. Last year it went through Ohio, Kentucky, TN. and down into Alabama. I wouldn't swear to it but it might have went up into Michigan. Anyway, it is a very coordinated event. Check it out on Google. It'll tell you all about it.

SEE, Texas ain't got the biggest of everything. ;D

Yes Pamela, I saw it. In fact, we are having a very thorough discussion about that very pan over on the members side of the forum. We think the pan is not worth that much at all, and in fact the shipping alone should be enough to thwart any sales possibilities, unless somebody wants it reeeeeeeeellllllllll bad. We have an ebay forum on the members side where we discuss ebay sales and voice our opinions on current items on ebay or past items or whatever, it is usually a pretty lively discussion. How would you like to cook with a skillet that big?

Hey Perry, years ago, when I was a hunting guide, I cooked spuds in a 20in alum skillet with a 4ft handle ( hanging in the garage now ). Now I use a unmarked 20 iron one. A pan that size will easily do 12 lbs of hash browns and/or scramble 4 doz eggs.
Makes cooking for large groups fun.

Tom, I have cooked with a number 14 skillet using two burners, but nothing as big as a number 20. I have a number 20 but never have used it for cooking. Man, thats a lot of eggs and potatos for sure. Did you cook over a stove with the number 20?
