Not on my front porch but from my side porch
« on: March 03, 2019, 12:58:35 PM »
Some of the hungry critters who have made my property a home.
We had to fence in part of our yard to keep the dogs in and the critters out but I still like seeing them.

Don't be fooled by the fence.  The only reason they aren't inside is that they are not hungry enough.

I have a 6 foot chainlink fence that for several years I though was enough.  Watched a doe one day walk up to it, stand next to it, and spring over-no run needed.

Gave up a long time ago keeping them out and they don't do that much damage, except they like the leaves off my pole beans.  Need about 10 feet to be certain.

Nice pictures.

Between the dogs and the fence the 4ft seems to do the trick...it has been up quite a few years with no intrusions, Yes I know they can easily jump over it but they don't seem to be inclined to do so yet, They ate everything from hostas to tomatos before the fence.
