Interesting Find - Not Cast Iron!
« on: November 04, 2017, 11:19:08 PM »
Havent found any real good CI in the last month of Garage and Estate Sales picking, but came across ( and obtained ) this hammered copper kettle with the lionshead ring mounts. No markings, but appears to meet criteria for being a vintage/antique production... anybody have any info or background on these???

The pics show that the lionshead is brazed? attached thru the kettle wall ( look at opposing inner wall ). The hammering detail doesnt really show, it is a broad shallow dimpling.

I don’t know how old it is, but it’s a good looking pot. Nice find!
