Fiji

I know some of you are not on Facebook, so I thought I'd post a picture from the Sigatoka Sand Dunes.  This picture was taken about 10 minutes from our Fijian property.  The Dunes are available to walk on, tour and just relax.  It is beautiful location, right on the Pacific Ocean.  This is sunset at the Dunes.

It is beautiful. Very surreal look to it. Other-worldly.

So which year is it Greg that we're having the convention in Fiji again?

Now, that's a great idea Randy.  Even my wife would go to a WAGS convention if it was in Fiji

well we are moving there in September next year, 2017. House will be built in early 2018, so WAGS convention in 2019?  But seriously, while it would be great to do this, the expense would be very high.  Facilities would have to be at a resort and the cost is likely high.  However, I will investigate when I'm there full time.  We plan to have two bures on our property for visitors that will offer privacy and also access to our swimming pool and swim up bar.

Well Greg looks good for Fiji. They just won their first Olympic gold medal. It was in Rugby and the defeated Great Britain 43 to 7. Prime minster declared a national holiday.

Rugby is a way of life in Fiji. The sand dunes are where the teams practice and if you see any videos of them training, you'll see why they got the Gold in Rio.  Amazing team. I also read a story about the coach picking the team members for the SEVENS in RIO and those that did not make the team all thanked the coach for the honor of being considered.  Then of course the honor at the medal ceremony is VERY typical of Fijians!!! http://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/olympics/83129799/fijis-humble-act-to-princess-anne-after-winning-sevens-gold-at-the-rio-olympics

That's really neat!

If anyone is looking for a book to read, I recommend "Elizabeth the Queen."  Picked it up at a library book sale.  Great read.  Nan's reading it now.
