Unknown skillet with an 8 and V.
« on: February 09, 2018, 02:53:51 PM »
Does anyone have experience with a cast iron skillet with an engraved 8 and a V (underneath the 8) on the top of the handle and no other markings on bottom.  I've looked through a lot of topics and have not seen any with the V.  This is my first post.

Hi Cliff....glad to see you are digging around on the Forum.  Is there a way you can post a picture of the topside and the bottom of the skillet, including the handle??  There are a lot of knowledgeable folks here that may be able to identify your skillet.  Again, welcome to WAGS!!!

Thanks for the welcome Scott.  I tried to attach some pictures but failed.  Not too good with computers.  I will work on it and try to get some pictures.

I like the looks of that guy, Cliff.
Hopefully a detective comes along and solves the mystery...
Good luck!

Nice skillet, but it does not look familiar to me.

That handle has an interesting shape, a bit pointy on the end... :)

To Sandy: Thanks for posting those two skillet pictures
To Cheryl: Thanks for the link to posting pictures.

I managed to get one picture copied into the forum, but now I have to remember all the steps?  Brain overload!

Thanks again to both of you.
