Wagner #9
« on: November 01, 2017, 04:39:22 PM »
Hi all.  First of all, I'd like to extend my appreciation for all the information on this site.  I've been able to find pretty much anything I need regarding cast iron here.  I'm a long time reader but a first time poster.

I haven't been able to find an answer regarding a recent purchase.  Very simply, what does the "A" mean after 9 at the bottom of this Wagner?  I know letters and numbers like this generally designate foundries, molders, etc.  But has anyone been able to decipher this any further?  Thanks for any assistance or suggestions.

Pattern marker.  Its a quality control measure that helps Identify which pattern the piece came off of should problems arise
