Benjamin & Medwin (China)
« on: April 12, 2017, 01:22:55 PM »
I was walking through an antique mall in southwestern VA this past weekend, and decided to snap a couple of photos of this Benjamin & Medwin hearts pan.

I thought that the design around the handles was intriguing, and wanted to find out more about it.

Turns out it is imported from China and not vintage/collectible.

Just from a quick online search, I found one like it advertised on the 'Bay for around $45....did not sell, of course!

Also found the following info from trademarkia.com :

On Thursday, June 06, 2002, a U.S. federal trademark registration was filed for BENJAMIN & MEDWIN by Benjamin & Medwin, Inc., New York, NY 10001. The USPTO has given the BENJAMIN & MEDWIN trademark serial number of 78133709. The current federal status of this trademark filing is CONTINUED USE NOT FILED WITHIN GRACE PERIOD, UN-REVIVABLE. The correspondent listed for BENJAMIN & MEDWIN is Donald C. Lucas of Muserlian, Lucas and Mercanti, LLP, 15th Floor, 475 Park Avenue South New York NY 10016 . The BENJAMIN & MEDWIN trademark is filed in the category of Houseware and Glass Products . The description provided to the USPTO for BENJAMIN & MEDWIN is cookware, namely, non-electric pots, frying pans, griddles and skillets.

Just wanted to share this info for those who,
like me, might not already be aware that this is not the kind of CI we want to own!  ;)

Trot line weight.

I haven't run a trot line in almost 40 years. Thanks for the memories!

Lol, at least I didn't buy this one, like I did the far east skillet that I posted about earlier   :-/

If I still ran trot lines or did any target shooting---
and HAD purchased it--- I would have probably chosen to send a few .40 cal FMJ rounds thru it versus carrying it to the river!

Thanks, all !
